Mission (Bhel) Impossible easy!

It's strange, isn't it? Nowhere in Qatar do you ever get Chaat Papri, Bhel Puri, Gol Gappas (The phirangs who don't know what I'm talking about may scroll down and read earlier post The Bhel Urge). Nowhere.
Just today, when I had the urge, when I craved for Bhel, and Pani Puri there was a 10-day Chaat Fest going in the Garden Restaurant. Is this just a co-incidence? Or am I an unaware-of-my-power God? Whatever I wish I get.
Maybe it happens sometimes, with everybody.
Whatever, these thoughts just flew through my head when the restaurant manager replied, "This is the first time ever Chaat has come into Qatar. The 10-day fest is to see the response so that we could decide whether or not to make it a permanent feature in the menu."
Well, I wished for it... Ellllllooooooseeerrrr.
Anyway, One plate Bhel Puri, 20 Gol Gappas, one Pav Bhaji, one Chaat Papri... that's not the entire menu card, that's just what I ate! I had a Dosa later, after that.
The bill? 60 Riyal.
I know... Loot liya saalo ne, 20 Riyals for Gol Gappas man. I mean come on. That's fucking 250 bucks if I have to convert. 10 for a Papri Chaat. That's 130 Indian Rs. In India you get the same, and much better for 10 Indian bucks man.
kameene saale. Choona laga rahe hain sabko.
But whatever... not that I care. I am anyway earning more than I should be. So it's fair.
I'm stuffed though... Burp...

I aint sure whether you already know this, the Indian Store has a ready made Haldiram Bhel mix. I miss the chatpata indian food. In Garden restaurant you get north indian food with south indian flavor which i dont like.

I think you are part of the "whatever I wish I get" league. Welcome to my world!

And if you think that was expensive, wait till you ask for sonth in Australia.. you know, the sweet chutney you have sometimes with gol-gappas.. the one they just pour over your stuff without you asking for it in Delhi.. here, if you ask for some extra sonth, they say, "That'll be a dollar fifty!" Saale.. kameen-de-patthe! You can't even get free ketchup at McDonald's!
