Melancholy... Qatar... Same thing

There is this quietness around. It's been there all this while. I have just begun to hear it now though. It's loud, very loud... the quietness around.
The sound of shoes slowly walking around on the marbled corridor, the computer keys click away, so fast, as if there was no tomorrow, the telephone ringing unattended far away somewhere, cars zooming away outside, the faint sound of the Azaan breaking through the thick, silent air...
There is this quietness around. It's been there all this while.
The sounds of laughter have been buried somewhere you can't find.
You watch the days go by, counting every hour, every minute, satisfied, that as you breathe, counting every hour, every minute, yet another second has become history.

Same old, same old.. anywhere you go. When I came back to Melb in Jan from Delhi, it was so deafeningly quiet here I thought there was a public holiday!

Like the way you write this, moments they just seem to go by, grasping them holding them is so futile yet we try..In truth most of live for moments gone by and the ones yet to come and very few live in the moment as it happens.

You know last night i was laying in bed and realized that i haven't been around silence in years. If i am somewhere where its completely silent, my ears start ringing. I sleep with the TV on and hear snoring. I miss it.
You are right the seconds pass and become history.
Time is a funny thing, until you run out of it!
Hope you are enjoying your sunday
