Let me take you on a trip. To the underground.
Surprisingly, I had a fantastic time last night. Leave aside in Qatar, it was one of the best parties I had ever been to in my entire life anywhere on the planet.
It was at the Inter Con Hotel beach. Full Moon Party.
The name says it all, doesn't it? It wasn't exactly a full moon night though. I think they miscalculated. Anyway, it was super.
Know the MTV Grind parties that keep coming on TV... where women in bikinis, topless men are dancing around on elevated platforms. It was somein like that.
The fact that not many parties of this sort happen, so basically all the firangs, the westerners, the blacks... whoever was in Qatar was at this party.
No the women weren't exactly in bikinis, but yeah, they were dressed pretty casually. As in the shortest of the shorts, skimpy tops... just a step away from bikinis I guess.
It was HUGE. There were people everywhere. Some sitting beside the sea, some in the thick of the happenings right in front of the DJ, some scattered around the bar, some lying down on the sand, staring at the dark sea ahead. There was this huge screen where you can see the crowd on the floor. Beside the DJ there were women and men playing with those fire things that you swing about while jumping up and down.
Blind fold me and drop me off at this party, I'd say I am in Seychelles or Miami or somein. No way in hell did it look like Qatar.
And the crowd was stunning.
We sat around, danced around, gulped beer after beer, and then...
Trance... it was the feel of a rave... a lighter version of it. People doing their own thing, yet they're not totally cut off from you. They're watching you, smiling at you, talking to you, and at the same time letting you be.
I tripped my ass off.
Rocking. Absolutely rocking.
Things do happen here my friends. Some of the most rocking things happen in places you least expect them to. It's just about being in the right circle, at the right place, at the right time, with the right people.
Welcome to Qatar, again.

Seems like a rocking party.
But kinda used to your hard-hitting, revolution-stirring and somewhat-bitter posts. Can we have more of those please? ;)
lol...
sure... very soon.
casa... i was quite surprised at the party too. theres no way anyone could have said anything bitter about it. ive seen parties here before but this one was different. sooo many people at one place... no one cared who u were... everyone just had a blast.
you had to be there to belive it.
He said "Casa"... he was talking to me, not you :p
wow!
Well... I said I am sinking in, just like everybody else. Does not mean I will tell those asking me about the place that it is cool. Sometimes, when you're getting raped, and there's no way out, u just gotta enjoy it. Might as well.
