Doha-Delhi...

WADHWANEY/ROHIT MR
Flight: QR 232
Date: 01 DEC
DEP TIME: 23.59
ARRIVAL AT IGIA, NEW DELHI: 05.55, 02 DEC

I can almost smell the chilly winter, the white fog...
Nearby labourers, in sweaters and shawls, with their arms folded tight, walking and cycling to the nearest open ground for their early morning call of nature...
I can see the huge trees alongside the clean central Delhi roads forming an arch above as I drive past, under...
I can see a few birds play around on top of the ancient gate of the Humayun's Tomb. Behind them, somewhere, the sun's rising...
I already feel Delhi, I feel home...
:)

Gadarene,
Thanks for your precious piece of wisdom. Very enlightening. You mean there's more in this world than India/"desi"?
I really didnt know that....

PS: I am happy, coz a friend is happy, that he is going home. So sue me for it.

Nice post. You've almost made me feel nice about the coming Delhi winter. Good thing you didn't mention the fog and the grounded flights and the - hmm.. that's it, oddly enough.

Gadarene - do u mind not making my blog your frustration venting ground?
Don't take me for granted...

Alice, casa... I wud've apologised for Gadarene, but hell, I ain't that nice and sweet. It's not my fault. He's mad.
See ya in Delhi, Alice... soon.

Anonymous: I hope it scares you away for good.

Jasmine: Welcome to the The Qatar Diary. Enjoy the crazy ride.
And now if my flight gets grounded... God help you! Start praying (Wink)

GSB: Aha... November eh? Any chance, we're gonna bump into each other in Delhi.
You remember the drink offer I gave you long long time ago, right?
It stands.

G: Just re-read this message of yours:
"ever read the caption on a Rizla pack..."it's what you make of it"...Casa & Alice...expand your horizons...think beyond 'desi' for a change...it's all good...or rather..."it's what you make of it"...

And then you say in the next message: "Chill... Like I said, it's all good"...
and all this... why? Coz they were happy i was going home on leave...
Lol...
Doctor, I think you need a doctor. And seriously, there's no shame in accepting you need one. Though a psychiatrist did tell me and i quoted her in my story that people in Qatar believe it to be a shame to go to a psychiatrist...
Don't make the same mistake.

Lol... what does that have to do with the way you started this comment. Didn't make any sense to me.
Why you laughing out loud?
And that drink offer was really just a figure of speech. You know... like... if you're there, while I'm there, sure... lets meet up.
I don't know why you were always so scared to go out with me for a drink in the first place.
Anyway...
