The End?
Ever wondered why... so suddenly?
Yesterday while watching about the Earthquake that rocked Pakistan and Kashmir, all I could think of was this story I had done when the tsunami had struck. I still sometimes laugh at it. But somehow... makes sense.
Pakistan... Kashmir... somehow... it makes sense.
Is the world coming to an end?
ROHIT WADHWANEY INDIATIMES NEWS NETWORK [THURSDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2004 03:49:29 PM]
NEW DELHI: Top astrologers in the country are hinting that the tsunami strike might indeed be a step towards Nostradamus' prediction - End of the world in 2010.
Minutes after panic gripped southern India following warnings of a fresh tsunami strike on Thursday, one of India's top astrologers, Kewal Anand Joshi, warned: "It's not over yet."
"We (a group of astrologers) are currently diagnosing the calamity. There's going to be another major strike in June 2005, somewhere inthe world. It will continue in 2006 and even in 2007 taking millions of lives," Joshi almost assured.
"And we have reason to believe, besides tsunami strikes, there'll be a series of natural catastrophes which would destroy parts of the world," he added.
Toll in Saturday's tsunami-strike has already reached 80,000 of which 13,500 were killed in India alone. Experts feel the total count "will rise to 1 lakh", making this one of the most catastrophic natural disaster to have struck the world ever.
Delhi-based Tarot Card reader, Pinki Vaid, took time to make some sense out of this through her cards. "It's a sign from God," she says.
"He wants us to know that materialism means nothing if compared tothe lives around us. He's giving us a sign that we must learn fast or else we'll be the cause of our own destruction."
"Our destiny is in our own hands now," Pinki says.
Pinki's colleague, Deepak, however, analyses the tsunami strike a little differently.
"There's a big clash. The transmutation of positive and negative energies was the cause of this strike. It's the planet Earth's way of reacting to humans," he explains.
"If we hope to survive, we need to erase negative energies and transform them into positive energies. Else, chaos is just round the corner," he said.

I for one, dont really believe in astrology...
Ayyy.. I am terrified by doomsday prophecies.
people get so facinated by dooms day prophecies. No one ever is concerned with his or her own death,or ready to contemplate it..but they will think and think about all kindsa dooms day prophecies. This is the classic stupid way of functioning of the mind. And btw how does say even a million people killed in catastrophies in a year threaten to erase a population of 6 billion?
People just want some drama. Some thing to spice up their mundane existences.Nature doesnt have to react through tsunamis and shit.WHta has been done to the enviroment in it self is sufficeint.there are no signals, their are cause and their are effcts and there is GOD out side of it all.The working conditions on earth are very constrained.Life has to be the way as it is.Man has to be a challnger of nature(though i perosnally see harmoany and co-existence as way to live, but that can only be done by few individuals not by all.Violence to earth just has to happen,at the same time offcourse we also on principle need to condemn it.Kind of like human right workers condemning the police for fake encounters, but without this living in dignity for the average man would be difficult. We live in a veyr constarined world. For me to live in some idealism and principle, for buddh to talk about peace, some one has to take over the part of the violent person.Thats just the way it is.
well...i dont really call it 'doomsday' prophecies....but 'endtime' prophecies. though its not quite the end yet.
i read an article by someone who said that the tsunmai was a fulfillment of the prophecy--"and nations will be in great perplexity over the roaring of the sea."
i remember wondering if it really was the beginning of the end.btw, did the june calamity ever happen??
dunno if a calamity happened in June... but sure did happen a lot of times after that...
what is negative energy and what is positive energy?
and what's with you and astrologerS?
Well this sure sets me thinking; I happened to write something after the tsunami struck- was probably a compromise of what I like to write and what people like to read.... hence it got accepted in a couple of dailies. But that's a different story. But I sure wonder, why?.... I did believe in God, may be I still do. May be I've lost faith... I don't know. But things surprise me.
