Surah IX, 72: "Allah has promised to believers gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them, and goodly dwellings in gardens of perpetual abode, and best of all... Allah's goodly pleasures - that is the grandest achievement."
Surah IV, 74: "Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world's life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward."
Surah XLIV, 53, 54, 55: "They shall wear of fine and thick silks, (sitting) face to face; Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with virgins, pure, beautiful ones."
Surah V, 33: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and his apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be a disgrace for them in this world..."
Surah V, 76: "Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of Satan. Fight therefore against the friends of Satan..."
Surah VIII, 65: O Prophet! Urge the believers to war; if there are twenty patient ones of you they will overcome two hundred, and if there are a hundred of you, they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve..."
Surah IX, 5: "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besige them and lie in wait for them in every ambush..."
Surah IX, 123: "He is it Who sent His Apostle with gudance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions..."
Surah IX, 123: "O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near you and let them find in you hardness..."
Surah VIII, 12, 13 & 14: "When you Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and every fingertip of them. (13) This is because they acted adverse to Allah and his apostle; and whoever acts adversely to Allah and his apostle - then surely Allah is severe in requitting. (14) This - taste it, and know that for the unbelievers is the chastisement of fire."
Surah VII, 182: And as to those who reject Our communications, We draw them near to destruction by degrees from whence they know not."

u know what is sorry bout this post of yours..the fact that u arent any better than the fanatics ur friend just mentioned here..theres more to islam than that..y do u fail to mention the good things that islam introduced to an otherwise corrupt society with no values whatsoever..im not gonna preach to u,but quran only teaches us to wage war against those who destroy ur ppl,whether it be in regard to their lives,their families,their homes,their property,their religion or as such..its what americans like to call `SELF-DEFENSE` and is not only practiced everywhere but i believe is a human right whether muslim or not..we r also told to fight against those of us who donot hold fast to r values,`munafiqeen` theyr called..so do not presume u know nethin bout r religion or the holy teachings of quran bcos u read the translation of a few lines n interpreted the way any FANATIC would..if ur so interested in what the holy quran teaches us read it all,the whole of it n then maybe you`ll see why more n more ppl are drawn to it day by day...n in the end do not forget that every religion has extremists who use religion as an excuse for voilence against innocents..what u posted up there is not a msg to reign terror on innocents..the quran forbids that,it evens forbids the killing of women n children even if two countries are at war,cos they r counted as innocents,not a part of the war.....so what u said by putting up the whole post yet claimed had `got nothing to say` is all wrong,terrorism against innocents is not encouraged by the teachings of Allah,plz do not lead the ppl to believe so

Where's the individuality of a person? If one chooses not to fast or follow religion to the word then why force things down his gullet? Thats the projection of Islam that you are giving me here.

Interpretations aside what do you think is happening around us in the world right now. kindly step forward and exaplin as to why the major terrorists in the world follow Islam? Why are major attacks carried out by Muslims? How come hindus, Buddhists or even Christians dont feel the need to go on bombing the world?
I'm not saying there arent any extremists in other religions and that they dont commit henious crimes but to make it a propoganda and then spread it like wildfire? I fail to understand! Sure Hindus commit some seriously disgusting crimes here too but the thing is its contained within this country and is not a 'war' but a 'crime'. Hope you get the difference.

You can get in any flavour you wish. Please be careful whilst comprehending them. ( I can on the hand get you zillions of the same thing for any religion you wish).

We are not the ones who decipher the Quran in our own way. I think you should first talk to the men who kill in the name of Quran and ask them who deciphered it for them.
I for one havent read it but have spoken to my Muslim friends about it and they tell me that if read correctly it doesent preach violence by any means but if not then it can mean all the things we see around us.

Hey Hana, listen to me... and listen to me carefully.
I love what islam preaches, I love what Christianity preaches and I love what Hinduism preaches as well.
But try and understand what I am saying. I, over the past few months, have been watching beheading videos in Iraq, execution videos, and have been reading up a lot about the Jehadis. I started reading the Quran because I wanted to know why before they kill did all those men say they were killing in the name of God, in the name of Allah.
I believe there is one God, and if the God I am talking about doesn't encourage bloodshed and violence I am sure, how can these people hear it from somewhere.
There are indeed some really really pretty things in the Quran, but these were a few that I thought were enough to instigate those people who are vulnerable to religion. That's the only reason I posted them.
I am saying, right here, openly, at this point, that these verses, just these verses of the Quran should be re-thought of, and yeah, maybe re-written, or better still... deleted.
Thats it. Things I feel may improve over the years.
