Nepal Casinos :(

Gambling: It's "Nepal's favourite past time," like the lady bartender at Black Pearl (arguably the best nightclub in Nepal) told me last night.
The casions: A place where millions and millions of bucks exchange hands everyday. Though Nepalese are "not allowed" to gamble, you find lots of them inside, mostly playing Black Jack or Roulete. They gamble bigtime. As if it was their livelihood.
Met a man who had lost 65000 Indian Rupees in six hours - From 6 am to Noon. It was 8 pm then, he was still there trying to make up the loss.
You know how they say, you never never ever win at the end of the day.
It's an unwritten law of averages. There are just two ways in a casino. Either it all evens out... or... you fucking lose all you have.
The trick is, when you're up, you walk, and then never ever tip toe to the casino again. 99 percent chances are, you're gonna lose all you made, and lose what other money you have in your pocket trying to make back the money you just lost. You'll never make it back.
Simple.
Those who run casinos aren't fools. Not for nothing do they serve free alcohol, free smokes, while you're playing. They know, the longer you're there, more the chances of them making money out of you.
But the trick I told you... to walk... is a trick that's hardly ever used.
If you've won the previous day, you're gonna go back the next day trying to win some more. If you've lost the previous day, you'll go back saying to yourself, "Mate everyday isn't a Monday, maybe today my luck will be different and i'll win back what I lost."
Unfortunately, everyday isn't a Sunday either.
I won 7000 bucks the first day I gambled on the Roulete. I walked. Decided ok, the Casino has sponsored my entire trip to Nepal. To be frank, I wasn't enjoying winning.
When money stops being a matter of concern for you, when you don't care much for it at all, how can gambling be fun?
It wasn't.
I gambled anyway.
It's a fact, I have absolutely no control on myself. I thing I need to learn before it's too late. What I say, what I do is not in my control at all.
The only thing I know is, that I never do anything with the intention of harming anyone.
Anyway, I went to the casino again the next day. Wrong move, but don't really regret it. Money, remember... means nothing to me.
I lost 7500 that day.
So I'm 500 down.
There's another trick. Remember, whenever you gamble anywhere in this world, the money you're gambling with is certain to go. You're ready to lose that money. That's the way you play.
If you win, great. If you lose... enjoy the free drinks.
Better still... know, that gambling sucks. There are far better things to do than try and make some money which isn't yours anyway, and will never be.
Over and out... headed for Mount Everest.
