...She shot me down,
Bang Bang I hit the ground,
Bang Bang my baby shot me down.

What a night! What a start into the New Year. It happened like this...
I was standing in the balcony of the huge bungalow right behind the barbequing pork chops, with a drink in my hand, a cigarrete between my lips, my hair flying back in the cool wind, a woman standing right next to me wondering how in the world do I start off a conversation with him.
From the corner of my eye I could make out she tried to open her mouth to say something at least thrice.
Besides the point. Just giving you the scene.
I was staring at the crowd which kept on growing, not a face that would interest me. I turned my back to the world. Few minutes later turned back around and there she was - arguably the prettiest face I have ever seen in my life looking at me.
Rohit, don't think. Don't wait. Go. Go up to her... NOW.
Not the slightest bit of hesitation, I walked up to her.

Hey.
Hi, she smiled.
You alone?
I was... till about now.
You must get that a lot, you're really pretty.
Thank you. So are you.
Well, I sure don't get that a lot.
You don't?
Err... maybe you're mistaking me with the earrings and the long hair. I'm from the males.
*Laughs* - You're a pretty male.

And we talked and talked and talked... and still talked.
I swear, I knew she was it... all I'd been waiting for my life. One smile from her and she made me rich beyond wealth.
I could see it in her eyes, I swear I could, she was falling for me, right there, right then.

And then a guy walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek. So did she.
I smiled at him. He smiled back.
Hi, I'm Rohit, I held my hand out.
He shook my hand and said his name.

And then she spoke.
"That's my husband."

She stared into my eye. She knew she just pushed me down from heaven.
She was falling with me.
